Kids’ Play Areas for Public Spaces & Waiting Areas

Kids’ Corner in Public Spaces

Public spaces welcome a wide variety of visitors every day. Especially during moments of waiting, travelling or taking care of practical matters, boredom can quickly lead to restlessness among children. With a well-designed play concept from IKC, you give children a safe and attractive place to play, explore and relax, while parents and caregivers experience more calm and a better overview.

A play area contributes to a welcoming environment in which the youngest visitors are also taken into consideration. From a compact wall-mounted game to a complete kids’ corner, the play solution is tailored to the available space, visitor flows and the look and feel of your location. This creates greater comfort during the visit, reduces restlessness during waiting times and contributes to a positive visitor experience for the entire family.

Why add a kids’ corner to public buildings?

Public buildings welcome families with children every day. Whether they are waiting for a flight, attending an appointment at a town hall or visiting a library, waiting times and unfamiliar environments can cause boredom, restlessness or tension among children.

A well-designed kids’ corner gives children their own place to play, explore and relax. While children are entertained, parents and caregivers experience more calm and can focus better on their appointment, conversation or journey. Employees also benefit from a more pleasant and peaceful environment.

From a compact wall-mounted game to a complete kids’ corner: from as little as 1 m², you can create a welcoming play area that suits your space, visitors and the function of your location.
