Waiting for a flight can feel long for children. That is why we created a fully customised play environment at Montpellier Airport, where children can play and explore before departure. This makes the waiting time more enjoyable for children and more relaxing for parents and other travellers.
A play world inspired by the surroundings
The play area brings together two recognisable themes: the Camargue and aviation. A large Forex wall forms the backdrop, featuring Camargue horses, a bull, flamingos, an air traffic control tower and an aeroplane in flight. This gives the space its own story, perfectly suited to both the region and the airport environment.
Different ways to explore
Several wall games are placed throughout the space, inviting children to play and discover independently. At the centre is an aeroplane-shaped play element, combined with interactive games and a bead maze. By bringing different types of play together, the area offers a varied play experience where children of different ages can discover something new.
A more enjoyable waiting time for families
The play area gives children their own space to stay occupied while waiting. Parents can remain nearby while their children play, making what can often be a long waiting period more pleasant for the whole family.
