Long waits between connections or before the next train can sometimes be challenging, making waiting areas all the more important for travellers to relax and recharge. Comfortable seating, charging stations, and refreshment spots are a great start—but for a truly pleasant experience, a kids’ corner is key.
Understanding the market
SNCF saw the opportunity to upgrade at Lyon Saint Exupéry station. Here, they introduced a dedicated space for their youngest travellers’. A space made with them in mind as they embark on travels with their families.
Through a child’s eyes
The design transports children into a playful world where they can immerse themselves in a train experience! This area has everything to prepare them for their journey. They can step into the driver’s seat or interact with fun wooden wall games. IKC classics such as the Memory wall game, and Road Trip can be found featured in the kids’ corner. The play area includes a Four Fun play tower and a Swinging Top Maze table alongside the train made with IKC fences.
With its vibrant, eye-catching colours, this play area is impossible to miss, located in the station’s main hall, it is a perfect spot to entertain young travellers’ before they embark on their next adventure!
